The 71st Primetime Emmys Awards kicked off on Sunday night, Septemeber 22, in Downtown Los Angeles. The biggest win of the night went to Game of Thrones. The show got best drama series, plus Peter Dinklage won best supporting actor in a drama. Tomori gives condition to play for Super Eagles

defender, Fikayo Tomori, has said he would be willing to play for the Super Eagles. The 21-year-old, however, insisted he has not decided which country to choose. Tomori is eligible play for Nigeria, where his parents are from, Canada, where he was born and England where he currently lives. According to him, his choice might be determined by which of the countries give him a call-up. “I’m a citizen of all three (countries) so we’ll see. I was born in Canada and lived there about seven or eight months old. My family is Nigerian, obviously I live in England. “It’s nice to have that. I can’t play Under-21 football anymore so the last international break I didn’t get called up to anyone. Next one maybe we’ll see,” Dailymail quoted the defender as saying.

The Presidency has described the 74th United Nations General Assembly, which begins fully on Monday, as Nigeria’s “day in the sun’’. Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, stated this shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari’s arrival in New York on Sunday for the weeklong global event. Answering questions from newsmen, Adesina hinged his comment on the recent emergence of a Nigerian, Amb. Tijani Muhammad-Bade, as the President of the UN General Assembly, NAN reports. He said all eyes would be on Nigeria at the event considering the fact that a fellow citizen, Ms Amina Mohammed, is currently the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN. “It is very significant; it is like Nigeria’s day in the sun because you don’t have it better than that. “The Deputy Secretary-General, the President of the General Assembly, and then you are the President of that country. “It is like focus would be on Nigeria, and it is a good one for our country’’...
